Valentines Day date ideas from a guys perspective

However, romantic can't be spelled without man. There are some fellows out there that enjoy a nice candlelit dinner and some soft music to accompany their date. They most certainly deserve a round of applause. Unfortunately, if you are one of those guys, you should probably stop reading now.
So what do guys really want to do on Valentines Day? Just short of explosions and monster trucks, they want it simple - simple as in takeout and a movie. Some new movies that may fit the bill include, but are not limited to: "Zombieland," "Star Trek," "Gamer," "Terminator Salvation" and "The Hangover." Old films can work just as well. Nothing says "I love you" more than classics such as "Fight Club" or anything by the Cohen Brothers, not to mention a passionate "Star Wars" marathon.
Simple doesn't mean that couples are limited to kicking it at home. Sticking to the movies and food theme, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Travolta team up in their new film, "From Paris With Love." Guys can watch Travolta shoot things with a rocket launcher. Girls can watch Jonathan Rhys Meyers being… Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Another notable release is the remake of "The Wolfman," starring Benecio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins. Afterwards, pizza is always a good call. Papa Dells, Papa Johns, or even the take home Papa Murphy's will more than suffice.
For the more active male, shooting pool never fails. It gives guys a chance to act like they're good at it, and their significant others the chance to show how, in another life, they were once professional pool players. The last, most obvious thing to do is absolutely nothing at all. Sure, many will argue that Valentines Day is a special day reserved for couples to show how much they appreciate and love each other. But really, that should be every day. February 14th is really just like any other day. And in the end, the day itself shouldn't make the people; the people should make the day.
